Greetings.  I am posting because I was banned...and I do not think it was justified.  Of course, your opinion may differ...and yours is the one that counts here.

I have played on your servers on and off for months and have never had any issues of which I was aware.  I don't type whines, accusations, or foul language in-game and I show all players respect - xXx, Redneck, guests, everyone.  It's been lots of fun with great CTF matches, great folks, and a mature environment.

I played several games last evening and also had no problems.  We got to the Roundhouse map, however, and I was on a tear in one of the tanks when someone posted "Don't camp the tanks."  I am not exactly sure how they were defining "camp" in that context, but I was moving and taking much fire...eventually getting blown out of the tank...and then fighting from foot for awhile.  At no point was I in sight of either flag...but it is a small map, so I was in the mix.  The other tank on that map was occupied fairly regularly by a xXx member on the enemy team who seemed to be doing the same as I was.  I don't recall his/her name, but I satcheled them out of their tank three times and saw their tags each time so I assumed that the tanks were in play.

I eventually got another tank in the next round and this time moved to the enemy side of the map since I assumed that maybe it was bad to be on my side of the map.  Admittedly, I was doing great in the tank...as I use leadfoot and use it to dodge and weave.  I find it more valuable than a fast reload.  Shortly after I got in the tank on the second half of the match (after we switched sides),a xXx member typed in-game, "What do you think of this guy William Munny?" Someone else responded with something like "Tastes like chicken"...and I typed "lol"

The next thing that I knew, I was perm banned.  No warnings typed to me.  Nothing.  Just kicked and banned.


I like your servers, but I will move on if that's what you would prefer.  That said, I frankly do not think that I did anything wrong and I was disappointed by the treatment that I received.  Clearly, it's your server and your rules.  I am a guest and you owe me nothing.  Additionally, I am sure that you only entrust rcon privileges to trusted and mature members.  You don't know me and so why should you believe me?  I know.  I am an rcon with my clan and see similar stories.  That said, everything that I have typed here is true and verifiable in the server logs.

I am not here to cry, beg, cuss, or be rude.  I just wanted to drop by and pass on this story and see if a ban is warranted based on what I have related.  If so, then my apologies...and there is no need to lift the ban.  I'll assume that my play style is not compatible and I'll move on.  I just thought that I would check since I have had no problems in the past here.  Either way, I had some great CTF games here with some good folks so thanks for that...and thanks for listening.

I banned you. Was not because you did anything out of place. The reason was, you are questionable with some of the things you were able to do. I did not type anything and do not recall someone typing, "What do you think . . ." We spectated you and just looked wierd. We also took some screen shots and have forwarded them. Meanwhile we have checked your stats and they look somewhat in order. I will give you the benefit of playing again. Just beware we do not tolerate any thrid party software while playing on our servers. Hopefully this is not the case and you are just that good on your own.

Ban lifted.

Thanks for the prompt response and action.  That said, I must say that I am really shocked that I was suspected of cheating.  My clan and I have an absolute zero tolerance party for cheating or glitching of any kind...including binds.   I run no third-party software of any kind while I am gaming (other than AVG and such unrelated things).  I welcome people to spec me...and push PB screenshots at me.  Heck, I live outside of Washington DC in Northern Virginia and I am more than willing to game while one of you guys sits next to me if you are around.  The beer is on me...provided you are over 21...and agree to stay away from my daughter.   I would even be willing to let someone remote desktop in at any time with zero notice during a game.

As you noted, I am not always on top of the scoreboard...but I play a lot and have spent a lot of time on stock maps and consider myself decent.  At times, things line up (players, maps, momentum) and I do great.  Other times, I am square in the middle of the pack...but usually still try to ensure that I have a positive ratio to help my team, which to me, is more important than being on top of the scorebard.  I do love tanks though...and one reason that I am here is that my clan has gotten rid of tanks because so many of our guests and members are frustrated with them.  Me, I love them, whether I am in them or trying to satchel someone out of one...and I was definitely on a roll last night.

Perhaps it's the maps.  I have played WaW stock maps for so long that I not only know the maps, I also know most camping spots and ingress/egress routes.  When you play those stock maps over and over, you get to know where people are likely to be...and I will definitely send tank rounds that way if I don't have any other targets at the moment.  That grassy alley on Roundhouse formed by the warehouse and the wall in front of it is a great spot to fire a round and potentially get someone moving in the supposed safety behind the wall.  Folks also use the break in that wall as a sniper spot....and I am waiting for them. 

Anyway, thanks again for the frank reply and prompt action.  I will never be offended if you spec/demo me...or whatever else you think is appropriate....and thanks again for the great CTF gameplay.
