Ingredients:
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup maple syrup
  • 2 tbsp. coffee liqueur (or strong brewed black coffee)
  • 2 tbsp. butter
  • 2 tbsp. white flour
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup semi-sweet choc. chips (or cut up large choc. bar)
  • 1 cup pecans, toasted

Directions:
1. Preheat to 400 degrees F.
2. Place all of filling ingredients, except the pecans, into blender or food processor and puree until chocolate chips are completely ground up and everything is smooth. (Another approach is to crush the chocolate chips or cut up chocolate bar outside of the mixture, then mix together normally in a bowl with a spoon.)
3. Pour filling over pecans. Mix.
4. Pour into shell. (You can do whatever you want to about the shell. I don't care to make it from scratch, personally.)
5. @ 400 degrees for 10 minutes, then 350 for 30 minutes. (Or until filling is set but still moist.)

I don't particularly care for anything mocha, and I'm actually not too big of a fan of pecan pies, but this is pretty good.
